Yeah sometimes the whole SEO make otherwise good content creators use cringe thumbnails to increase engagement. FD has a couple of videos/posts where he talks about this. But like others have said, he's good.

I've seen a few videos lately in my recommendations that have titles like that or are by, say, Shadiversity and how YouTube is "killing them" or some shit (I hate Shadiversity).
Just to give some examples.
F. D. Signifier and a few other breadtuber types make their videos thumbnails look like the right wing nutjob videos to lure people in and hopefully educate them. I don't know how effective it actually is though. I figure they'd just watch something else as soon as they realise it doesn't coddle them and pat them on the head for being an ignorant dickhead.

Either way, honestly, I feel like YouTube channels are getting worse.
This is what social media centralization has brought us: everything in the same place but it's all the same, has the same demographic (white male) and same "centrist" cold takes.
