    Not like cleaning, or cooking for myself, but understanding important documents; like bills, notices, tax documents & the like.

    bring back home economics classes.

    maybe redact stuff and post it, asking for an explanation? you shouldn't need to be independent but society kind of makes it rough if you can't be.
