Comrades, I have tested postive with the novel coronavirus :meow-tableflip:
Does anyone have an idea of what it takes to get a prescription for paxlovid or remdesivir? Seems like you need to have some sort of proof for underlying conditions, but I have none.
I swear to god they should've made antivirals freely available, but what else do you expect from a failed state. :amerikkka:
That's if you're trying to get a prescription from the pharmacist. You can say that you have a high-risk condition without specifying what that condition is. Note that they'll charge you if the pharmacist prescribes (but not for paxlovid itself).
If you have a primary care doctor, though, they would be a surer bet (though not necessarily faster). Just message your doctor on their online portal, tell them you're COVID-positive and ask for a Paxlovid prescription in order to avoid long COVID complications.
HHS has a Test to Treat page that is supposed to tell people what to do in order to get Paxlovid.
