Weird, contrary to what the hogs claim. It kinda makes men seem like a parasitic gender (I do not believe men are parasitic, but I am pointing out that misogynists seem to be overly reliant on women despite having nothing but disdain for them.)

If one day another Valerie Solanas rises up, they will only have themselves to blame.

I do not believe men are parasitic

Patriarchal capitalism does pretty well by turning absolutely vital labor like child rearing into an unpaid duty of women, and by paying absolute shit for essential jobs in nursing, child care, cleaning, education etc. that are considered feminine and are overwhelmingly held by women. This is gendered exploitation, it is very much parasitism, it just works on a societal instead of an individual level. And when we talk about the gender pay gap, some galaxy brains insist that these inequalities have to be taken out of the equation because the resulting inequality may also affect the few men who work part-time for their kids, who do these "women's jobs" etc.

ofc when it comes to household chores and how much emotional labor each partner does, a lot of heterosexual relationships are also lopsided on the individual level, with the man parasitizing on the labor of his wife / gf. It usually doesn't work like a 1950s marriage anymore, but there is a tendency towards women doing more chores, offering more emotional support, being pressured into sexual availability etc. A society that still raises girls to be pleasant and compliant and dilligent at all costs and that still lionizes entitled, narcisssistic, emotionally stunted behavior in men just leads to such outcomes. I know this will upset a lot of dudes on here, i've noticed there's very little awareness of these dynamics among men because it's so normalized. But yes, most men are parasites, and i've done my share of selfish, parasitic things when i still presented as masc, too. Patriarchy doesn't magically not mindfuck you because you publicly denounce it, it is much more insidious than that.

Gender is a class relation. We are all coralled into gendered classes. Women are raised to be servants, we are still treated as a reward men get for fulfilling capitalist demands. Because being a desirable man equals being a highly functional part of the capitalist machinery, you become an entrepreneurial alpha and in return you get your trophy wife that you can use to comfort yourself and make the hard life of being a lone wolf more bearable. And that comforting, that's unpaid labor. Unpaid labor is the very definition of class parasitism. All of that has softened up, become less rigid over the last 50, 60 years, but it has never fundamentally changed, it has just become easier to deny. This is liberal feminism's failure, it has ultimately only served to increase the reserve army of labor while maintaining the core of women's exploitation, and that failure will always be inevitable as long as we do not tackle the externalization of child rearing costs, which has only ever been done in socialist states which all did more for the emancipation of women than the white westoid feminist can ever dream of.

Most people think women were peacefully allowed to have the right vote/abortion/etc

There was no 'allowing' about it, women fought and died for those rights. Many suffragettes were (CW: sexual assult)

        spoiler

beaten, raped, demonised, arrested and killed

same as any struggle for freedom.

Yup, my favorite callback to people asking for peaceful protests like with MLK (which is a lie), is "what you mean is you want protestors to get hurt, not the cops".

My favorite suffragette fact is that UK suffragettes invented the mail bomb as a concept.

        a return to militant suffragettes

I don't see that happening any time soon. Everyone just shrugged and let the Roe overthrow happened. Hundreds of millions of people knew exactly where the SCOTUS judges lived but all of them are still alive.

Thing is it'll take the dems dropping the ball on abortion rights this midterms to begin radicalizing to show the need for public actions (and maybe an adventurism or two in minecraft...)
