Is porn addiction real? Is "Death Grip" real? I see a lot of people talking about these like they're real thing but I'd always thought they were made up by Catholics and Mormons to shame people out of masturbating. And then "NoFap" formed out of the miasma of religious trauma and poor sexual health education and things just kind of mutated and spread. Any thoughts? Preferably with studies by atheists to back them up?
i thought death grips was a band?
'porn' addiction isn't exactly real, imo. country girls make do, people addicted to 'porn' are the same people who wouldve been habitually cranking it 'analog' before porn existed. not that one couldn't have had a problem with that back then either, but its not essentially about pornography
left concerns about porn are about the conditions of the workers, ethics of distrubution, and harmful/patriarchal attitudes it can reproduce
Nah but it's easier to jerk off nowadays cos you can have millions and millions of the most depraved porn videos at your fingertips
so what? does the accessibility of masturbatory aids necessitate habits around it be worse?
one could argue the ease might make the process more swift and efficient, and thereby better than squinting at the illustrations in a magazine or reading chapters of an erotic novel.
