Is porn addiction real? Is "Death Grip" real? I see a lot of people talking about these like they're real thing but I'd always thought they were made up by Catholics and Mormons to shame people out of masturbating. And then "NoFap" formed out of the miasma of religious trauma and poor sexual health education and things just kind of mutated and spread. Any thoughts? Preferably with studies by atheists to back them up?
I used to think I suffered from death grip syndrome until I realized it was actually circumcision associated sensation loss. The foreskin contains nearly all of the fine touch (corpuscular) nerve endings and the glans has the ones that sense heat and pressure.
