In March I ordered a ludicrously expensive amount of gear (drums, cymbals, hardware) because I'd hit an early midlife crisis and figured that if I didn't now, I never would. Been playing for 15 years, so it's a hobby that's important to me and I've always wanted to do it properly.

6 months down the line, I have received all but one of the cymbals (they sent the wrong hihats initially; tried to get me to keep them because they were worth more than the ones I ordered, but I returned them because they were literally not what I ordered.), and the drums finally arrived today.

I ordered a 3-piece kit - a 22"x18" kick, 16"x14" floor, and a 12"x8" rack tom.
I received: a 22"x14" kick, a 16"x16" floor, and a 12"x8" rack tom. 1 outta 3 aint bad, right

I can't even get angry at the people at these companies who make these mistakes and ignore my emails - all I can think is to blame capitalism for these problems. The culmination of pressure, overwork and underpay.

Anyways, spending lodsemone on musical instruments makes me bourgeois scum, so I guess this is me reaping.

That's really annoying. 6 months is a while too. Even worse that they don't reply to your emails.

There is a point where a company is just screwing you, but one does feel bad for the poor person at that support desk receiving all the hate for their boss's cost cutting.
