Hello, everyone! I'm a Marxist-Leninist from North America, who enjoys learning new languages. I'm also super into free software and Chinese animation.
I tend to be a barbarian and use nano or Gedit to take plaintext notes for everything. What would you recommend as an alternative? In the past I've taken some notes via Speech Note, which is voice-to-text.
i've become a fan of qownnotes thx to that one popular youtube video. but i also had periods where i just used vim for everything
that video was more entertaining than a video about text editors has any right to be
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Saluton! Mi ankaŭ estas ML ke ŝatas lerni lingvojn. Mi ne kapablas Esperanton tamen. Mi tre malrapide skribas. Ĉu vi studas iajn lingvojn nun? Mi komencas lerni mandarenon.
Hello. I'm also an Ml that likes learning languages. I'm not very good at Esperanto though. I write very slow. Are you studying any languages now? I started learning Mandarin.
Tamen mi ankaŭ ne lertas pri Esperanto!
I study a lot of Spanish, as well as French and German. I can read some light books in Español, Esperanto or Français, and have a backlog of non-fiction in Esperanto to read through. Lately I've been studying a lot of very simple beginners' Chinese, because I got into too much donghua.
Hi and welcome! On the topic of Chinese animation, just curious, have you seen Fog Hill of the Five Elements? I absolutely love what I’ve seen of it and hope that studio does more. I’d also love to find more good Chinese animation. Any recommendations?
