      One of the more disturbing things about that letter (if we're both thinking of the same letter) was in the same note he also spoke about how generous and selfless the Taino people were; traits he saw as perfect for subjugating them. Like yes, they would be easy to subjugate, but who thinks like that? Who mentions wonderful, humane qualities and is then like we should enslave them. It's like (but obviously Chris was leagues more evil than this) seeing a senior citizens' home and seeing a chance for successful scams.
