    He died in July but this is news that he was attempting to save people from a rip current. Don't be sad. He had a full life and died a hero. It's unfortunate, but he seemed like a genuine person and he gave the world my favorite card game, so it'll be ok. Gotta celebrate people's lives while we can. :fidel-salute:

      The currents around Okinawa are a big part of why I never learned to dive there despite it having some of the best reefs in the world. If you're on the northern side of the island, the rip currents can kill you even just wading from shore. It's probably the most hazardous coast I've ever been around.
