People not being able to pronounce your name solidarity

    I can't relate entirely, but as a black person named Angel, my name is pronounced the English way.

    However, I do get (non-Hispanic) people thinking it's proper to pronounce it the Spanish way in some instances.

      Tbh, I didnt expect the post to get much people relating, but I come from a weird background of amerikkka midwestern catholic eastern euro settlers from the late 1800s, and we always have to tell people (ngl mainly prots around here) how to pronounce our name. The weird thing is, I've literally been to the mf place my family came from, these people were peasants, and eastern europe is beautiful. I want to go back.

    it's still a little different because the poc name will be something like "Abhi" and the slav name will be something like "Chojcznowski"
