I got curious, googled the story and the UK definition of a "shot". It's the Daily Mail so I'm assuming it's pretty heavy sensationalized bullshit but according to the article:
Maria Mills downed around 40 measures of Baileys Irish Cream before driving off and crashing into parked cars worth more than £100,000.
And while I've never even been to Britain before, quick googling led me to find that the definition of a "measure" of liquor is 25 ml (Except in Northern Ireland, which is 35ml) , which is significantly below the international average, according to a chart I skimmed off Wikipedia. Assuming the DM used the rather low definition of 25ml, 25ml X "around 40 measures" = 1 liter of Baileys. Which at 17% abv is still a lot of booze but not as nearly as bad as the headline makes it sound
I've seen a measure used to mean 50ml instead of 25ml but considering this is the daily heil they're probably using the 25ml version of a measure to make it seem like more
now picturing this lady clenched up and drunkenly squirting, her foot lodged and locked on the gas pedal as she sideswipes a shitload of expensive cars parked along the street.
Baileys isn't full strength liquor. If you're drunk off a shot of Baileys, then congrats, enjoy your status as a cheap date and the savings that go with it.
We need to study this woman's liver and learn its secrets.
40 shots of Baileys is about the equivalent of a couple bottles of strong wine.

The more impressive part is that she drank a liter of heavy cream and kept it all in
The article specifies that she drank one and a half bottles. UK government specifies that spirit bottles are 700 ml or 1000 ml.

How do you drink 40 shots of baileys without shitting yourself?
That's the neat part, you don't.

The mystery is the mass quantity of sugar, not the alcohol.
Your average angloid consumes at least that much refined sugar in a day.

Practice. I'm just your average drunk and this doesn't seem all that bad aside from the dairy in the Bailey's
