Would you mind expanding on this? I recently went through this whole process to get put on stimulants for my ADHD, but that fell through for reasons that will sound pretty familiar as far as public health in the US goes.
Curious about this dimension of it because I remember hearing about stimulants like Ritalin causing cognitive decline through long term usage

I hear you. I'm going to try non medical ways of controlling my neurodivergence, I guess.
There are non-stimulant ADHD meds you can take too. Not everyone responds to the stimulants well, but Concerta has proven very helpful for me.
Ideally if you can find a way to get past your difficulties without meds, that would be great too. Save you a lot of money and hassle.

Has its drawbacks for sure, but I operate better on it. Not like it's the only drug I do anyway.
