I've been avoiding thinking about the fact that people think it was Russia cause it truly breaks my brain that anyone would think that. I'm not even saying that I know it was the US (but come on), I just know that it's not Russia cause obviously.

The "tbf" I have in this is that the decision by Russia to invade seems like it was about as irrational as I thought it was in the beginning (which is why I didn't think it was gonna happen).

I disagree it's irrational, I think the invasion is a pretty natural result of years of failed diplomacy with Ukraine and NATO. The security concerns are rational and the economic pressure Russia is putting on Europe might finally break themselves out of Western economic hegemony.

Could have been the Ukrainian state, or some random faction who got their hands on a shitton of explosives? Building a big ass shaped charge and towing it in place with a boat a few weeks before detonation doesn't require the resources of a super power.

Posted above in thread but there is video footage of this exchange in the WH press room:

Biden: We will bring an end to the Nord Stream pipeline.

Reporter: uhhh, how would you do that?

Biden: Trust me, we can and we will.
