don't become bourgeois, if you do want to do Business(tm) or whatever then at least make it a co-op or something

otherwise there's nothing inherently immoral for laboring for decent amounts of money. there are some jobs where you could get paid a lot of money to make people's lives worse (defense contractors, prisons, law enforcement, etc) and that's obviously different.

regarding "slipping" — it depends on what and how you're slipping on. part of what I love about marxism and dialectical materialism is that it's about a process for reaching the right conclusions given the information that you have. it's okay to reassess and reach new conclusions about things given new information, or realize that certain positions require nuance given our current society and the ideal one. I assume you're not slipping in the way where you're now suddenly in favor of bulldozing encampments of unhoused people, pro-cop, pro-landlord, or whatever. if you feel like considering buying some smarthome shit is "slipping" then just reflect on it a bit before you do i guess

That's a good thing to take note of and valuable to have as a trait. Flagging something as being worth review doesn't mean that thing is significant, just that it's worth evaluating.
