I can't get in to how or why I saw this, but I just read a piece from a 10th grader explaining that in the American Revolutionary War, we fought the British because they were trying to make us communists.

    If I had had a nickel for everytime I hear someone call the british empire "communist", I would have two nickels, which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice

      Dare I ask the reasons given why the British empire was communist? I don't know why I'm hurting myself like this, but it's such a bonkers take that I have to say I'm curious.

        Probably because they were "the bad guys" since functionally to Americans, communism and socialism just means "thing I dont like".
