Tenia Glenn, the president of Tania Glenn and Associates, which specializes in rendering mental health services to veterans and first responders, said that more police officers are committing suicide due to "demonization."
To quote the top comment: "Stop acting like demons, then." :shrug-outta-hecks:
years ago i remember sitting in a car doing K with an ex-cop. this was so long ago that i was super lib and my best friend and roomate was going to criminology classes and i was personally considering doing it too or be an EMT. we were going to have our party drug phase and then straighten up.
so this guy talked me out of it. told me he did it to make a difference and serve his community. he never arrested anyone for drug possession, just tossed their shit and told them to never show their face in his area again. he didn't hang out with other cops and was too "serious" apparently. got skipped over for promotions, very obviously to newer officers that bought into the thin blue line shit.
Ex-cops have a number of career paths (some of which aren't even that ghoulish!) open to them, too.

it was very eye opening.
