they only put flags in their bios if a us ally is being attacked

According to a Reuters article from late September: “a gang blockade of Haiti’s principal fuel terminal has crippled day-to-day activities in the Caribbean nation and now threatens to force the closure of hospitals that rely on diesel generators for electricity.”
This problem carried into October.
NPR reports: “The U.S. and Canada sent armored vehicles and other supplies to Haiti on Saturday to help police fight a powerful gang amid a pending request from the Haitian government for the immediate deployment of foreign troops.”
The gang is demanding that the prime minister, Ariel Henry, step down.

The U.S. State Department insists its intentions are just.
It says, “the equipment will assist (Haiti’s National Police) in their fight against criminal actors who are fomenting violence and disrupting the flow of critically-needed humanitarian assistance, hindering efforts to halt the spread of cholera.”
A spike in the cost of gas is also a huge problem.
After Henry announced that “his administration could no longer afford to subsidize fuel,” a series of gas stations, hospitals and grocery stores either shut down or had to limit their services.

so when RUSSIA does it its an invasion but when the US does it-
Specifically an intervention to protect the current US-aligned government of Haiti from protest over the economic conditions that have been pursued in the interests of non-Haitians. I was pretty surprised to see Yahoo slip that reality subtly into this article while also calling the protestors a 'gang'. Of course the average US reader will not appreciate that context because it is buried near the end of the article.
