I don't want to hear it from MAGA Republicans, who had hundreds of thousands of dollars of debts, even millions of dollars, in pandemic relief loans, forgiven. And who're now attacking me for helping working class and middle class Americans.

Marjorie Taylor Green, she and her husband got over $180,000 in business loans forgiven from the PPP loan. She said it's completely unfair for us to forgive student loans.

Representative Buchanan of Florida said our plan was reckless. Guess how much he got in that program forgiven? $2,300,000. That is not a joke. You can't make this stuff up.

Republican governors wrote me a letter saying this relief only helps the elite few.... Ted Cruz, the great senator from Texas, he said it's for slackers, lazy slackers who don't deserve relief.

Who in the hell do they think they are?

Apparently he has a video up on YouTube too.

Honestly...Dark Brandon may be okay. He's no Bernie or Corbyn, but at least he's not Boris or Starmer.

Maybe I'm just being a lib, but c'mon, this speech is poggers.

He's the President. He could, you know, investigate these representatives, charge them with fraud, tie up their campaigns with legal battles and document requests. This is hot air that will be forgotten almost as soon as it is said.

Biden is a horrific monster and just because he's a senile prick to other shitty people doesn't change the inhumanity of everything around him.

as far as messaging strategies go, it's not a bad idea to make a lot of hay out of big name PPP loan recipients talking shit about student loans.

it has the dual benefit of shitting on political enemies for gorging at the public trough while bringing up a program that is theoretically set to provide significant material relief to many. the numbers are all relatable too... like some partisan clown getting hundreds of thousands of even millions in "business" loans forgiven (why do senators have businesses?) but turning around to throw a shit fit about somebody getting $20k for school.... that's a simple, emotionally charged story with villains and relatable characters. it's going to resonate with politically checked out people and they'll repeat it. that's the trifecta of crowd psychology.

    • simple message
    • emotional images
    • repetition until it reaches contagion

if the Dems have any brains and are trying to win seats (uncertain), they will never stop repeating and boosting these stories.

They are not trying to win seats. If the party leaders have learned anything over the last six years, it's that they rake in more donations with a flop than with a hit. We got ourselves a Producers Party.

The thing that would actually get me to hand it to him would be if he told the courts to fuck off and forgive student debt

Yeah this sucks shit - I cannot understand how anyome thinks the president pointing out the system he is the leader of is irrevocably broken and only makes the ultra rich wealthier is some kind of fucking own for libs. That's so bad. It's like they've forgotten what they're supposed to pretend to be.

Yeah it's literally an ad for how much money the Republicans are willing stuff in your pocket if you're a business owner. Seeing the same thing for campaign attack ads against anti-abortion candidates. All of them are about how Jack Q Whiteman is the anti-abortion candidates. Literally just an endorsement by way of damning them.

My lib sister exemplified the lib response best back when they were shooting off epic Whitehouse tweets, "I’m more celebrating them not just taking the criticism. I know they can do infinitely more" #resist #neverthelessshepersisted #rbg #idissent #jfcareyoufuckingkiddingme

This is kind fun but should be given equal credulity as a football game or pro wrestling match. As it turns out treating (electoral) politics as “their team, my team” is the right way to do it since we have an equal effect on the outcome in both

Would be even cooler and more meaningful if he wasn’t responsible for the college debt crisis in the first place: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/dec/02/joe-biden-student-loan-debt-2005-act-2020
