I won't be playing it for a couple months still, as I am currently in the middle of nowhere for work, with barely enough Internet connection to post
It's fun, but like many Paradox games it feels like a foundation for something great, you are honestly better off playing it in a couple of months with patches and AI + UI mods
I had Karl Marx appear, unfortunately he died at 37 and missed the best part.
I hate the leader system cause Ill get karl marx, who is communist ideology, but he will die really fucking young and get replaced by some moderate or social democrat, so I can't do anything to bring about a revolution except wait for the new person to die, but he never does :P
Yeah, that is a bit annoying. I got lucky and got a vanguardist at some point. Now I have six capitalists left in the country and their unemployed and starving.
Although this is my first game of any of the victoria series, I like the general vibe a lot.I got British Stalin who was crazy unpopular for a while for being a "bandit". He's ok now.
If you redownload it, can you tell me how the hell to play it? I'm always losing money and it makes me afraid to go to war.
Interestingly, hoi4 works better on my computer than hoi3. Something to do with rendering sprites vs rendering 3D models.
Crusader Kings 3 runs also better and at higher speeds than Crusader Kings 2 (For me) . I assume the modern engines are more optimized.
It really does feel like a historical materialism simulator at times. I feel like the interplay between different interest groups (i.e. ruling and working classes) is portrayed fairly realistically.
It's buggy as hell currently and needs a lot of work but the core mechanics are pretty dope IMO.
Be content, Paradox games on release are always weird, and this one is no different. First patch and roadmap notes are being released next week. You may gain by waiting.
