Of all places, a CNN article on degrowth pointed me in the direction of Kohei Saito's work, and how his most recent book Capital in the Anthropocene was an unexpected hit in Japan.
By digging a bit more into his work, i ran into this earlier book of his, available here
I think it is a fascinating, contemporary analysis and reconciliation of Marx's thought in the face of the ecological catastrophe we're encountering right now.
Thought i'd share, and if anyone is aware of his work or has opinions on it, i'd love to discuss it.
