Yeah, regardless of struggle sessions over their politics, I find both of them unwatchable. Something about their editing or voice is just like audio poison to me, has been for ober a decade

It's a copying of zefrank but zefrank could get away with it because he's goofy and funnier than them. They're just awkward and take themselves seriously.

Uggghhhh, Zefrank! I forgot his name, but yes, he's, like, the concentrated essence of that style I hate! One of my roommates in college would listen to him a lot, and since I don't really want to police other people's stuff for my weird audio issues, I would just put in my earbuds and do something

He does goofy nature documentaries in a fake Morgan Freeman voice now. Go watch. It'll make you grumpy!

Struggle sessions about John Green are a time-honored internet tradition. It all started with the infamous tumblr one. Hexbear has had also had mild struggle sessions about him (and/or Hank) before

Like when John talked about how he used to favor Marxism until he became a capitalist realist and then [immense absurd liberalism]?

I read Turtles All The Way Down when it came out, and I still think nearly every day about the scene where the protagonist drinks hand sanitizer in the hospital because of her compulsive anxiety about getting a stomach infection.

Also Hank Green’s books are two of my favorite books of all time, they’re super amazing light sci-fi that’s actually about how social media is destroying us. 10/10.

I don’t watch much crash course anymore but when I was in high school they were super helpful. SciShow’s good. SciShow Tangents is great. Dear Hank and John is good, same setup as MBMBAM but ngl I find the McElroy’s exhausting in a way I don’t find the Greens.
