It took me over two days but it's running so much smoother now. I just copied a bunch of the urls into a notes page on my phone which took up most of that time, but I do feel incredibly foolish for hanging on to all of those not-recent chapchat/hexbear posts that are now incapable of loading. I just hope that all of those posts that I wanted to go back to weren't that interesting (I was going to say "important" but obviously nothing on here is that important lol).

But if you have previously made a post here that was really good or interesting I would suggest that you repost it, just so people like me can have another chance to hoard those tabs and curse god for their inability to read them 14 months later

how extremely relatable...this is what I've been going through for a while now...still working on it though!! but those lost comment threads really are so tragic

I fucking hate opening up a chapchat tab just to get hit with "something went wrong" or whatever warning and knowing it's because the mods/devs dumped all the old posts 😞 especially when it's recipe, game, or movie posts

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who recognized this habit for the danger it is and nipped it in the bud immediately. I compulsively close tabs and can't stand to have more than a few up there. Gives me choice paralysis.

I hate that the search function on this site is basically useless now. I want takes on a certain subject I look it up and all comments are gone. At this rate what is even the point of archiving posts?

You understand those tabs are not held in memory? They're saved in storage. They're literally a link and a cached image in storage. You just put those links from one place to another.

    They hardly affect anything.
