    No it's not a Ponzi scheme, South Africans in general love KFC and Chicken Licken. But the thing is, there are racist connotations with fried chicken and black people that racists like to play into. Essentially what the meme is saying is that black majority political parties "buy" votes by giving people fried chicken at political conferences, and that is the only reason these political parties win elections.

        The leap comes from some people posting the same videos and photos of political parties giving people "KFC and t-shirts" that are re used every election. They take one video and assume that's how the the whole organisation operates.
