Kinda wild. This is just censorship. Yes FIFA is the copyright-holder but it’s not like they’re gonna show the footage anywhere. They’ll just suppress it.

And maybe FIFA will stop even actual news organisations from using the footage.

It is because F1 drivers are too influential, sometimes its a good thing, most of the times its a bad thing. In this case it would simply be a very bad look if Hamilton and Vettel get together to collectively protest against the FIA and Liberty media over something as petty as a helmet design.

Good for them as the well meaning libs, but it doesn't realy change anything in the grand scheme of things. F1 goes to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and of course more and more US GPs, pockets the money while Hamilton and co get to feel less dirty about doing it. Win win move on to the next race.

It is one of the reasons I just had to stop watching after last year. Even after eventually Hamilton and now Vettel are gone they wont even have the well meaning libs. What do you think gamer chud will protest against racism or gay rights lol? They'll have gamer chud and his psychopath team built around him(Verstappen/RB) while everyone else is just as likeable as a tree trunk. Alonso was already another dipshit psychopath but at least he knew how to be charismatic, his fans were still quite stupid over the years but you could just ignore them.

Verstappen is someone you with would just hit a wall at 350km/h in order to shut up RB and his fans.

That and of course Liberty trying to make everything to please fucking Netflix along with the circus that is the FIA and their stewards/race directors, 2021 was not just a farce but a worthless comedy not worth your time.

:100-com: completely agree with everything you say comrade.

I still hate-watch F1, but the way it has me pining for the boring early 2000s is a sign the sport is deep into terminal decline. I’d gladly take a qualifying session with no non-Minardi cars running for 50 minutes over the DRS snoozefest it’s become. Somehow Ron fucking Dennis seems to have deep charisma when compared to the current lot. Unreal. One small positive outcome of the currently unfolding depression is it will hopefully put a bullet in the sport once and for all.

I honestly enjoyed an alternate history series on YouTube that was built in GP2 more than this year’s season. Not sure whether that’s saying more about F1 or me though… :grillman:
