I also heard that. I wonder how far it goes, though. Surely even if the original founders can't advertise themselves as "Founder of Tesla" they could accurately say, "I founded Tesla" if anyone asks. Surely you can't sign away the right to accurately describe an event which is public knowledge.

Remember: Tesla was founded by two engineers with PhDs. Musk bought it and fired the founders.
