It's funny because something similar happened to me when the pandemic happened. Except instead of becoming paranoid, hopeless, and hateful towards satanic democrats creating a fake virus and ushering the NWO and making me gay, I became paranoid, hopeless, and hateful towards the satanic capitalistic system that forced millions of people to work and get sick with little compensation that was quickly taken away

and instead of forming a doomsday suicide pact with strangers online, I just shitpost here instead of doing anything productive

Then why hadn’t he taken the most basic step in a man-overboard situation, tossing something like a life jacket, a body board or a seat cushion into the water after them? “I told myself that I couldn’t help them because they wouldn’t want help,” Mr. Schmidt explained to the police. “From what I had heard, they believe that the Covid test will give them the mark of the beast and thus they will go to hell.”

    :what-the-hell:

To be fair, brainworms existed long before the internet (ie: Jonestown) but the web sure does help it spread like wildfire.

Jonestown will look like a minor event when compared to what internet brainworms will do to millions of people going forward.

I really don't think the Internet is creating or even enabling new human social behavior. It just hyper-accelerates it. Now instead of spreading person-to-person or through print, brainworms are exchanged and distributed en masse. People became convinced of a divine mandate to kill themselves before the Internet and they still would if it was gone. Now it just spreads faster.

I wonder how much this kind of thing will increase as society collapses

I think we are just at the beginning of how far these brainworms will spread and how many people will literally die of internet brainworms.

You could say the victims of some of the racist mass shooters count as victims of people with terminal internet brainworms to the point it causes them go out and shoot a bunch of people are livestream it to 4chan.

The internet now is what nerds think the scary terminator future would be: a machine that convinces people to murder or kill themselves….

He was looking for any men — because women, in his view, were a temptation to sin — of sound mind and studious nature who wanted to “bug out” of this obviously doomed society and start rebuilding civilization as God intended it.

    :yea:

After a four-month inquiry that included interviews, reviews of weather data, underwater searches, DNA analyses and digital forensics, the local authorities concluded that the most likely explanation was that Mr. Danian and Mr. Abdul-Rashed had indeed jumped from the boat and had been swept out to sea.

Well off white dudes promoting anti covid medical advice (i.e. getting a test is a sin), and causing literal deaths need to get the death penalty.

Lol, they are dumb. We do have to consider that people are actually dead because of his actions though.

No it's a good sign that cults are popping off again. Things are going great!

People were like this before the internet. Like cults aren't anything new, at all.
