I enjoy challenging games, but the idea that other people must play the game at my difficulty level to "get the authentic experience" is gatekeeper bullshit especially if a developer decides on their own to add one.
I remember when chuds screamed and frothed over Mario Kart and Star Fox having (very) easy mode options in their later installments. Fuck that noise.
