I could only stomach about 20 seconds of his crying performance on the stand. I wanted to watch more but even that much made me angry and disgusted. I felt like vomiting. I knew that the jury would not only think he was sincere and spontaneous but they'd even misunderstand what little of what he was doing was real. He had zero guilt for the victims. He was crying for himself at the thought he could end up in prison.
Juries are selected to be people who have not heard of the crime in question until that moment. In this incredibly online world, that is increasingly improbable and selecting for some INCREDIBLY dense motherfuckers.

It will never happen but imagine the DOJ actually indicted Trump and he was going to have an ordinary jury trial. Jury selection would be solid gold.
