Download GNU Emacs and learn emacs lisp (there is a built-in introduction book in Emacs as well as a manual), I guarantee you that it will teach you how to think like a programmer without all the pressure and imposter syndrome of established industry languages like C++ or Python.

Honestly, I keep thinking about a video game idea and saying "if only I knew how to code..." and then I just Don't learn how to code, because it turns out that you cannot go from "Hello World" to somehow singlehandedly making a Half-Life-esque puzzle-FPS inspired by European heraldry intended as a language learning and voice training tool, complete with full accessibility for blind and Deaf players, within two days... Honestly I remember feeling like a higher share of Maidragon was cute and wholesome than that, maybe as high as 80%, but I also just think I have less trouble with enjoying problematic media than most people. Like my top 3 anime I watched in 2022 was Samurai Champloo, Maria†Holic, and Cowboy Bebop. Yes, Maria†Holic uses the T-slur. Yes, I am a trans woman. My brains are just That wormy that I can somehow look at most cis/het nonsense in anime as a parody of itself even when it is completely sincere.

Also I kind of just stopped paying attention to Anime, although I am watching Delicious in Dungeon and it is quite good.
All I've really been watching lately is the OG PreCure because watching seasonal anime as it comes out is overrated. I pretty much only end up watching seasonals like several years late — you've gotta let them age at the bottom of the plan-to-watch list like a fine Kakhetian wine, until you're so certain you're gonna end up liking them that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
My mom is no boomer but if I showed it to her she would probably be concerned for my well-being.

It could also be that I don't actually know what "seasonal anime" means. I've always just assumed it basically means "every anime that comes out in a given season" so it'd be kind of embarrassing to find out that I've been using that term wrong the whole time.
