It's been pretty clear for a while now that covid causes immune system suppression, ever since it was first announced I remember being fascinated at how low WBCs would be on these patients.

The debate is currently between whether it causes T cells to kill themselves, sabotages them and prevents them from going to or reacting to infections; thia seems to last at least 4-6 months vs. doing what measles does, which is just completely wipe your immune system's hard drive of all prior data.

I've always thought it was totally fucked and very shortsighted we don't study viruses more because they are WILD but are so much harder to study due to size, but nobody seems to care because the drugs are ineffective, nightmares, or both. My suspicions were heightened when several autoimmune diseases last year were definitively linked to prior viral infections immediately before the patients became symptomatic.

The #2 and #3 most prevalent strains of covid in the states right now have zero immune recognition, so you could in theory pass the same virus around your extended family indefinitely and would get reinfected every time. The fancy antibody serums are completely useless now.. This was originally a doomsday scenario in 2020 but now that it's finally happening, crickets. Because a fucking democrat is in office we can't admit these assholes are fucking up and doing the exact same shit if not worse.
