The last big tournament of the year is set to start tomorrow and will feature Magnus and Hikaru. Along with almost all the top players in the world. Nepo, Fabi, Grischuk, MVL and Shak to name a few. Fan favorites Rapport, Anish, Duda and Dubov will also be playing.

By far the biggest player missing will be China's (and my favorite player :virgil-sad: ) Ding Liren. China will be repped by the talented GM Yu Yangyi. He will be in pretty deep vs the very top players tho.

India will have their countless of young and ridiculously talented... and super underrated GMs stealing MMR from everyone. Nihal is coming in with a 2628 rapid ratting. :miyazaki-laugh:

A few quick things I notice.

I am not a fan but both Aman and Eric of the chessbrahs will be entering. :kkkanada:

Newly minted Vietnamese GM Tuan Minh Le is playing. He is best known for giving Hikaru fits online for years as a IM. :uncle-ho-2:

Oh .. yeah... and some American named Hans Niemann will be playing, making it the first event him and Magnus will be at since ... well you know.

      I wish Ding was playing
