this face is probably still under copyright for a few decades tho: :nineteeneightyfour:
which is unfortunate, because big brother face is about all I know about the series.
What would you do if you were in a position to make a game/film?
I've got this interpretation of 1984 where Winston's idea of global politics is completely wrong because he's been propagandized to his entire life, and that Eastasia and Eurasia are in fact socialist utopias well on their way to Fully Automated Luxury Communism. I'm not really sure how to turn that into a game though - maybe a stealthy immersive sim with three campaigns (one each in London, Moscow and Beijing), where the message isn't made explicit but can be figured out by paying attention to the environmental storytelling.
I liked the theory that Airstrip One is literally all of IngSoc, everywhere else is just like normal.
We do not know exactly how many of these terrible games will soon flood the Steam sale page, but I fear
Knowing the current internet, each of them will have names like "Winnie the Pooh 1984"
lol a reverse uno card you can't find by typing "no u" or "reverse".
I've always been curious about the proles, they're like 80% of society or whatever and are "free" and presumably well taken care of. The outer party is like the PMC I guess, which maybe is why libs and shit love it so much because it's their nightmare. Would be cool to see an actual prole uprising while the inner and outer party are busy jerking themselves off about how much power they have over what newspapers report and what textbooks say.
The series?
1984 is a book.
The big brother face is from the crappy 80s film.
I'd probably add in a shit ton more OC's and include an extremely bloated, bioengineered pig to represent the US that ends up dying at the end by biting a hole in itself and chokes on its own intestines as it tries to swallow it.
