What are all the tactics used to delegitimize and overthrow AES? I already know the basics but if you have anything mask off it would really help

The defeat of the Paris Commune might be one to look into. Marx writes all about it in The Civil War in France. Not 100% sure on this but IIRC the Thiers government murdered more people in their counterrevolution in a matter of days/weeks than were killed in the entirety of the Reign of Terror. That last point is salient because all through the 19th century, the Reign of Terror served nearly the exact same purpose that the "communism killed 100 million people" line serves today. It was a cautionary tale reactionaries would point to as evidence as to why you can let people try and have a better future for themselves.

I mean, theres a lot, do you know how you want your game to play? How much time do you have to develop it? it'd be hard to integrate any solid wargame/area control elements without some serious time set aside to dev work.

First though would be some sort of social deduction game where there's "always" a bad actor trying to spoil some debate you're trying to have and sway it one way or another. If they get everyone to agree to what they were suppose to they win UNLESS the play group can identify them as a spoiler? Not quite sure how to Implement that but it should be easy enough. Oh and then the twist could be that sometimes theres no spoiler and could lead into discussions of sowing distrust as a tactic.

embarrassingly, i haven't played secret hitler ever. not terribly into social deduction myself and have a lot of jewish friends. i don't think it'd be a hit.

or a social deduction game where sometimes there is no "bad guy" and you just torture a bunch of unrelated people for no reason like all the times a bunch of not-even-communists were done like that

You might want to reference some BTRGames (Brian Train). He's some war nerd who makes all sort of war board games regarding specific conflicts and probably has one that fits your bill or at least a couple that circle it.
