I wish the North Korea was a democracy
Genie: it is done!
…Nothings different
Genie: disappears
What does hakim mean, the DPRK is much more democratic than liberal democracies so called.
Dynastic Presidencies are... not great.
But DPRK is a country that has been under seige for decades. It's operating under completely different material conditions than, say, Vietnam or Norway.
What kind of democracy can you have in their geo-political position? Its like asking for a democracy in Lincoln Era America or the Donbas region of Ukraine.
Yeah absolutely. It's also a common trope among anticommunist propagandists to essentially cast someone like Kim as somehow being in strict, personal control over all policy, which is ridiculous. The family clearly controls foreign policy and military development, but the idea that they singularly command the entire country is absurd. They have representatives they vote for, etc. The system defined prior to the beginning of the civil war for determining their governance is also exemplary imo.
