When they call it the "war in Gaza" I get bothered too. Even when the media uses the word genocide, they usually lead with "alleged" like all these people aren't really dead and starving.

Agreed. Calling it a war in any sense is already a reframing of reality. Calling it Israeli-Hamas War is an even more cynical twisting.
