For those who have decided to take on a resolution for this year, what is it?

For me I kinda have two, one very simple and concrete and one a little more abstract. I've decided to make it to at least half of my local orgs meetings this year. Due to moving and work stuff I kinda had a reason to not be as active in 2022, but only going to about 4% of the meetings was just me being lazy and I wanna bump it up to at least 50%. The abstract one is "get things in order" and is essentially just working on building habits and sorting out my health and financials, no concrete goal for this other than actually doing something to keep myself on track, and I've kinda already made progress on it by planning ahead and booking a doctor's appointment for this week!

What are yall's resolutions? If you don't put any stock into them a struggle session friendly discussion is welcome

    • getting serious about getting buff. I've been going to the gym a few times a week for 3 months, but my diet is fucking shit, so I'm not getting anywhere. I want to be a twunk by the end of the year at the very least.

    • taking music classes. I've been picking at my old guitar again for a while but I feel like I've hit a ceiling since I'm not that good at this "learning by yourself" thing. Also want to get a keyboard or a bass.

    • getting a couple publications in nice journals/conferences. I've decided I want to pursue a career in research so I need to get my act together. Unfortunately with the hand I was dealt it's like trying to squeeze water from stone but I'll do my best.

    • learning more about psychology and stuff. It was always an interest of mine but now I have an excuse since my area of research in interdisciplinary and most people don't bother with the humanities side.

    • finding my own look. I still dress like a fucking kid :baby-matt: so that had got to end. Also I have some ideas of tattoos/piercings and other things I want to try out but I'm a bit scared they'd turn out shit.
