      I think California regulations require a vehicle to have airbags

      From a quick search, airbags are going to be outside (?) but that still doesn’t explains how the car body has collapsible points and also them sharp edges

          Tbh i’m less worried about the people inside than a jacked up 6.5 ton stainless steel block with sharp points colliding with a normal vehicule

      I might be wrong on this but I think it was Volvo that actually gave up their patent on seat belts just to let everyone have the tech. Rare altruism from a company.
