    I had the opposite. The old sub really purged whatever liberalism I had kicking around. By the time it got banned I was saying kill all cops.

    literally the internet is so useful to the capitalist class -- there's a persistent belief leftover from the 90s that it's somehow inherently democratic and that it allows everyone access to "the sum total of all human knowledge" or something like that but in fact the virtual world is defined by how mediated it is by capital, even more so than the pre-virtual world like it's not even capitalism with a human face anymore, it's capitalism with no face, it's capitalism as a ghost or a virus or an ideological woodchipper i don't know how it's even a little bit controversial that we need to kill this thing

    I'm the opposite, reading the personal stories here of my comrades suffering enrages me. Seeing people point out what could have been and might be possible in the future makes me want it so much more. I'm more radical now then at any time in my life. Every now and then I have to take a break for a few weeks and just live my own quite life before my urge to be in the vanguard becomes a bit premature.
