Some teenagers broke into a vacant property on my block and were destroying the place. They broke all the windows were running around and smashing holes in the wall. I feel bad because acab but I didn't know what to do. I don't particularly want kids destroying my block and I talked to my neighbor who lived next door and he seemed legit scared about the situation. I don't feel like confronting them would have been safe since it would have been many of them and one of me.
Could I have done something different?
Update I don't even know if the police ended up coming but it quieted down within 10 minutes of my call. A couple cars were broken into and one was stolen.
So what you are saying is that you are so alienated from the young people in your area that you actually feel afraid of teenagers fucking around and being assholes on abandoned property? Like you really think that the kids in your area would rather beat you up than, idk, outrun your old ass? Like, you don't have to say "Hey go away or I'll call the cops." You can literally just be like "Hey assholes keep it down, people still live here!" and 99.9% percent of the time, they will fuck off.

Damn they must really raise kids different in cities then. If they are that dangerous then maybe they should be calling the cops, after all we don't know if those ruffians will rob us.

In my experience, yeah. Now, if they are drunk 17-22 then it's a little more unpredictable, but like 13-16 they are usually still just kids, unless things have changed so drastically from when I was a stupid kid fucking around on abandoned property.
Maybe if they were outside more but I'm not going inside and doing that.
I wouldn't go inside, literally just yell at them, but whatever, all you people seem really scared of kids.
