    The anti-Russia sentiment is real. But there is also more scepticism of NATO with the various recent wars, a strange pride about neutrality (think some of it is cope about WW2) and also that Erdogan is a muslim which will bring in your average racist that is outraged that we're placating one of "them".

    Also that Kurds are a fairly large minority in Sweden compared to Finland.

      Sweden gave recources to the sandinistas and Olaf Palme was the most left-wing sociel-democrat who's ever been in power. The Meidner plan they wanted to implement during his premiership, whould've eliminated private ownership of the means of production. So I think it's more than just some strange "cope about WW2", and a reflection of a broadly shared, left cultural dominance.
