It looks like Meta is doing another innovation, where they don't give a fuck and show ads to millions of fake users who are doing obviously fake AI posts and to millions of obviously fake AI repliers to those fake AI posts, then charge the advertisers for those ads and laugh all the way to the bank.

      What the actual fuck

What is her breathing tube connected to?? The fucking ocean? The sky?

There's just so much going on here and all of it is so very, deeply wrong

Edit: upon reflection, I'd rather see hundreds of fucked up pornographic AI images than even 5 more of these, these are just so incredibly fucked. The idea of a machine feeding on images of babies suffering and then spitting back up new babies suffering just really, really deeply bothers me.

It is not about suffering even! The image is supposed to actually be "It is my birthday" engagement farming from an account that posts stuff like that all the time.

The AI is just stupid, so it isn't able to correctly take an average of children birthday photos and is instead doing an average of random photos of children. It is so insane that AI now means... this. In the past, AI is supposed to mean an actual artificial intelligence, now it just means whatever this crap is. More generalized algorithms, I guess?

There are like 3 similar pictures circling the interwebs. Most of the replies are just like "happy birthday" or "so nice" from other bot accounts.

The image is horrifying but I laughed at it too - it’s so bad it almost makes me feel a sense of relief that this “AI” is not all it’s cracked up to be.
