    He's an investor who fully embraced Popper's anti-communist rhetoric layed out on "Open Society and its Enemies" and ended up making a foundation named after that book to piss away his money he made through blatant financial speculation. The Open Society Foundation pays lots of lip service to social justice causes to launder Soros' image, so nazis think that its the source of "progressiveness". In reality, the OSF is just a hedge fund that captures public funding barely disguised as an NGO (and as such, it's a disaster to third world economies). It's also an anti-communist think tank fighting the fight against "authoritarianism". As mentioned below, this is so 2010 it hurts, online is a circle.

      Yeah, sounds mid. One of those cases where the name and reputation go a lot further than the actual person does, from the sound of it.
