what do
Get an Instant Pot to "set and forget" countless recipes. My electric bill went down noticeably since using it instead of my (electric) stovetop. Cooks perfect beans in under 10 minutes using a fraction of the energy.
Also, it's good for plenty of other things. Baked potatoes, corn on the cob, crème brûlée, French dips if you're a meat eater, etc.
You can also just cook things in it with the lid off. It's just a big pot on a hotplate when it isn't pressurized
I mean they can be dangerous if you get a sketchy old one from a thrift shop or something, but something modern like a multicooker is fine.
Soak over night, rinse, boil in water for 30-60 minutes depending on bean.
Insta pots are nice, big heavy duty interlocks and you don't even need a stove
Maximum pressure, maximum intensity, establish dominance :swole-doge:
Pressure pots are safe, just make sure not to overfill it (the rule of thumb is never go beyond 2/3 full but check the manual) and also don't cheap out on the pot, you don't have to go for the luxury ones but don't buy the cheapest one either.
