hellworld :sadness-abysmal:

most hinged forum of self-proclaimed libertarians. incels continue to operate in a manner antithetical to life :kermit-pain:

the one extremely-active sui-baiting user legit needs to go to the courts for that shit, legally dubious but morally abhorrent existence, homie has a body count in the double digits probably in a manner that is just barely technically ‘indirect’ :pain:

holy shit, the fucking paywalled private forum with lessened content moderation that hosts suicide methods in-detail, this hit me just as fucking hard as that exposé on the palliative care industry. THE 100$ Subscription-Service Death Cult Secondary Unmoderated Private Forum Grift :pannekoek-point: I’m fucking speechless, I don’t know what to say. Capitalism delenda est :agony-deep:

This is why i can't tolerate the 'doomer' mindset or anything adjacent, even from leftists. It actively harms young peoples mental health when they really need encouragement for the future, and most of it stems from disgusting people like this.

EDIT: Should clarify that i mean a reasonable level of encouragement. Someone pointed out that throwing positive platitudes at a sad person can make them feel less hopeful and even guilty for their own emotions unless the encouragement is based in reality. Never harass someone for not already being 'happy enough', but don't let anyone insist on pessimism for others or mock you for having too much "hopium". In either case, you never know what someones going through behind the scenes.

Sometimes invoke the :doomer: emoji when I'm feeling demoralized, though I tend to do it in jest because ultimately I must have hope that the future can be better and that society can improve somewhat, otherwise there's nothing really left to be "leftist" about except expressions of contrarian cynicism and empty gestures of spite.

That's also why I don't like when "no ethical consumption under capitalism" sayings are used as a blank check for any/all consumption under capitalism that suits the speaker. Pop versions of nihilism are empty and self-serving at best and are anti-life propaganda when they get worse.

There is a place of despair so deep that people trying to encourage you just makes it hurt more and causes you to withdraw further from them, because in your mind it just rings so hollow that it taunts you and makes you feel like you're committing a sin by not feeling good on command

It's why sites like this can have so much power. It speaks to feelings that you're having, feelings that overwhelm and define you. It feels true when all that feel-good crap just bounces off of you. And that's why it's especially sinister.
