    Say you saw an endangered spider in there (research endangered spider species in your area), the vibrations were disorienting him, and you were trying to give him a steady object to climb out on. Any ensuing damage to the speaker cone was a most regrettable side-effect, but you'd do it again in a heartbeat.

    Edit: Feel free to 'commit to the bit' for the benefit of the security cameras. In all likelihood the footage will be sharp enough to show whether you are acting like you're holding a tiny spider, but not sharp enough to show whether you're actually holding one.
