Asking Morpheus if it's too late to go back and take the blue pill after he tries to tell me that FFXIII was actually good.
Picture of something completely linear and under developed not related /s
Square Enix is a bad company that makes bad games. Thus Thirteenth Fantasy is bad.
I tried playing FFXIII in the past six months and I didn't like it. Got stuck on some battle that I couldn't beat and just gave up, because nothing in the story had been interesting.
Combat was the most interesting in any FF game released up to that point. Story was extremely linear but that was basically true of all FF games. I feel like it got a lot of undue hate because it didn't put in effort to obfuscate how linear it was, unlike, say, FF7 where you can travel around an acre of world map but the plot only progresses if you go to a particular place.
FFXIII is weird because the more open endgame is actually really great but it takes 90% of the game to get there. Its basically a 40 hour long tutorial for a 10 hour game.
XIII is bad and you should feel bad for trying to rehabilitate that trash.
