Xbox Controller Config Files for Dolphin (found on the discord, I don't know how secure that is)

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1057151520237420634/1057151521248247809/UWP_Dolphin_Controller_Settings.zip

Dolphin Instructions:

  • after first run, load any compatible .iso or .ciso from your prepared USB.

  • After the game is finished compiling shaders, click the left stick and back button on your controller to bring up the menu

  • use the control stick to scroll down to "select config location"

  • select your USB stick and confirm

  • restart Dolphin, launch game and repeat process to check if Dolphin has printed its folder structure and default config files on to your USB

  • Using a computer, use the config files downloaded from https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1057151520237420634/1057151521248247809/UWP_Dolphin_Controller_Settings.zip to REPLACE the ones already in /config/ on your Xbox USB drive

Your .isos will now launch on your Xbox and recognize your controller. If you are unhappy with the button mapping, you can use the Xbox Accessories app to remap the buttons on your controller system-wide

Don't do anything illegal :porky-happy:

PS2 emulators and others are available on the Gamr13 discord, but require a BIOS to function

It's pretty wild because even though a lot of config is required online play is also supported, Phantasy Star Online via the emulated broadband, and some hacky ways to play Mario Kart

Idk if Project M is still around but that and Melee might also be working

The original project was abandoned. It has been carried on by a new team under the name Project +. Online multiplayer games are organized via SmashLadder. I don't know if this works on Xbox though. This is usually done using the Dolphin emulator. RetroArch uses a Dolphin libretro core to emulate Gamecube/Wii games, but minor additional setup is required to get Project+ running. It works by booting an ELF image (basically, a homebrew channel app) which patches the stock Brawl .ISO before booting it up.

There might be a way to bake the mod into an ISO image, but it is not distributed like this. Even when I had Project M running on a real Nintento Wii, it used the homebrew method.
