Or perhaps you'd like to mix and match elements? Many of these were just different plugins for desktop environments, so you can just switch out plugins to your hearts content.
There's a lot of great stuff about Linux, and I could go on about the ease of downloading software or how nice updating is compared to Windows. But this is a great visual example of just how much more control over your computer experience you would have with linux compared to Windows.
