If you weren't there, it's hard to describe how hard we laughed at this shit in 2004.
I kind of forgot how based some of the commentary in this was. The allusion to the atrocities committed in the Vietnam war (Kerry's contributions in that was a key thing he ran on), as well as the in your face reminder of how this nation is built on genocide and despoilment.
But as usual, libs didn't go nearly hard enough on Bush. How fucking lame the criticisms are, just repeating "lol bush is dumb" over and over, and actually giving him kudos for Crusading and Tax Breaks.
The video did a really good job in retrospect of capturing the emptiness of Kerry's campaign. "You're dumb, three purple hearts" really was all he had.
Definitely. While I give the video grief for tripling up on the "bush is dum" joke, the tripling down on Kerry's purple hearts is divine comedy. It's really funny that Dems continue running Troops in elections, thinking that's a silver bullet for electability.
